My name is Emily La Bianca and last year I started an anti-trafficking ministry in Budapest, Hungary called Door of Hope. Since October of last year, we have been walking alongside a survivor of sexual exploitation. She successfully exited prostitution and is trying to start a new life in Budapest. She is a single mother with a three year old son, and currently has no income or finances and very little support from her family. Due to a recent car accident and the resulting medical bills, her bank account is empty and she is in debt.
At the moment, she has a spot reserved in a transitional home for single mothers. However, the state will only allow her to move in once she has paid off her outstanding debt of about $350. In addition to this, she recently broke her arm and requires continued medical care. Any additional financial support would help B. cover her regular costs for food & hygiene products until she can put her son into child care / kindergarten and find a job.
The reason this fundraiser is being handled privately is because it will allow for much greater flexibility in paying B.'s bills and not needing a special invoice for our nonprofit. I would be distributing the funds responsibly to B. depending on her current needs. We are in touch every day.
Thank you for your generosity and for being a conduit of God's love in B's life!
