Support Bryce's Journey to Recovery

Dear Friends of the Mcevoy family. This fundraiser is being set up to help with the medical expenses and continuing care of Bryce Mcevoy who is 16 months old.

Lauren and Billy Mcevoy are the parents of Bryce. Lauren is an ICU nurse in our community and has taken care of the most critically ill people her entire career. She is now in need of our help.

She has a daughter Olivia, who is 2.5 years old and twin boys Bryce and Billy, who are 16 months old. Bryce started to become inconsolable, crying all day, suddenly stopped physically progressing (wasn’t walking, while Billy was running) they weren’t able to figure out what was wrong. After seeing multiple physicians such as, the Pediatrician, Neurologist, Gastrointestinal and ER physicians they were sent to a Neuromuscular specialist in Miami. The MRI showed extensive neoplasm throughout the spinal cord. The tumor was so large it encompassed most of the spine.

This was the reasoning for Bryce not walking, and the excessive crying was due to pain. Bryce had surgery 2 days later to remove this tumor. The Neurosurgeon was able to remove 80-90% of the tumor and the rest was too risky, that he could have lost all neurologic function. They are unsure if Bryce will be able to walk. Right now, they are starting their journey with physical therapy. They are still awaiting the pathology of the tumor for the next steps of his treatment plan.

Bryce is going to need extensive and continuing medical care. Any help that you can give Lauren and her family would be greatly appreciated.
