Born and raised in California, Bryan Nguyen was a contracted Submarine Officer in the Navy and student Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago Illinois- expected to graduate this spring.

On Monday, May 12, our beloved Bryan was enjoying a morning swim with friends when he suddenly had complications in the water. After hours of search and rescue attempts as well as major resuscitation efforts at the local hospital, Bryan unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Anyone who was lucky enough to be touched by Bryan's light knew he had the kindest heart and a way to find joy and lightheartedness in every situation. The community of friends and family he has built will forever be rocked by the absence of his beautiful, silly soul.

We kindly ask for help and support through these hard times as we navigate the next steps in bringing Bryan's body back to California where he will be laid to rest for the final time.
