What started out as a fundraiser to help with medical expenses for our Son-in-Law Bryan Way and our daughter Stephanie has turned into helping pay for not only the medical expenses from him being in the hospital since March 23rd, but now losing his battle against Metastatic Colon Cancer and Liver Cancer. After having surgery to bypass blockages in his abdomen and intestines, he was readmitted into the hospital a month later. He eventually was told that he was terminal and he chose to go on Comfort Care. He lasted 3 weeks. Bryan being the amazing science teacher that he was has chosen to donate his body to science. Hoping that he can help someone fighting the same cancer that he had.

Not only is he Mr. Way a beloved Science teacher at Cayucos Elementary/Middle School but he is Sensi Bryan to many on the Central Coast and has owned American Karate School in Morro Bay for over 20 years. While battling cancer he has continued to teach his science classes, coached track and he is one of the ASB advisors for the 8th grade class. He has taught daily karate classes and seminars. American Karate School is a big part of the community and has touched many lives over the years.

Bryan and Stephanie have been married almost 11 years this year and he vowed to kick cancers butt. But, it's expensive and as you know, teacher's do not make enough money. Even with insurance, paying these bills will be a challenge. Any and all donations will go towards Bryan's healthcare bills and living expenses.
