Bryan Baylor is the facilities manager for Hollow Rock who has been a behind-the-scenes rockstar for the club. In the words of Hollow Rock GM Michael Polasek, "Without Bryan, we would not be able to enjoy our facilities the way that we do. He is the reason this place runs. Whether it's water heaters or aerators for the pools, court irrigation, or keeping our wells running, Bryan handles all the little operational details that keep us swimming and playing tennis."
Bryan does so much for the club, which was fortunate to have been spared damage during the recent Tropical Storm Chantal. But Bryan's home in Hillsborough didn’t fare so well and suffered considerable damage from high levels of flash flooding, with water entering much of the first floor and destroying not only personal and sentimental belongings, but also the washer/dryer and HVAC system. Even worse, Bryan's home was in the 1000 year flood plain and thus he did not have flood insurance, so he is faced with dealing with all the damage and repercussions out-of-pocket.
While many of us interact more with some of the more member-facing staff members, Bryan has been keeping our club running and looking beautiful from behind the scenes for almost 7 years. Hollow Rock is one of the best-maintained clubs in the area, and we can thank Bryan and his team for that. Let's see what we can do to help Bryan get his home back into a functioning, livable state. He's done so much to keep our home-away-from-home a place we love to be, let's help him in return. Thank you in advance for whatever you can do to help Bryan restore his home.
