This is Bruno. I did not intend to have a second dog, but he found his way into my life, my home, and my heart. Bruno started out as a guest dog I was boarding for 4 days. But then his human didn’t come back to pick him up. His person had gone through a series of life struggles that left her temporarily without her own place to live. I couldn’t bear to relinquish the sweet boy to a shelter or rescue and friends to immediately stepped up to help buy food.
Over the two years since, his person was able to reclaim him for about 6 months, but it now appears permanent he will live with me for the rest of his years. He will be 12 in May.
He has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Unfortunately, this diagnosis came at a time of transition and difficulty for me. The expense of vet appointments and the supplies needed to treat his condition are an added stress I’m struggling to absorb. Any little help toward paying for syringes, insulin, vet visits, and glucose monitoring would be tremendous for us both. (There is no likelihood his original person will contribute, sadly.)
