On behalf of my father, Bruno Smoje, I am arranging this GoFundMe & reaching out for your support.

For many years, Bruno has been battling scleroderma, an incurable autoimmune disease that is characterized by joint pain, hardening of the skin, and accompanied by Raynaud's syndrome. In roughly half of all scleroderma cases, it affects the lungs, causing shortness of breath, a persistent cough, injury to blood vessels, as well as a multitude of other symptoms. July 2024, after much consultation and testing, Bruno was approved for a double lung transplant. As of August 4th, he has been approved for transplant and is awaiting operation!

I humbly ask for your support for my father as he begins this valiant fight. The journey to recovery is a long and difficult one. Please consider donating anything you are able to help defray some of the medical costs, so that my father can recover and transition back into his normal life without this major bill weighing over him & his family.
