Support Bruno and Julio Reunite With Their Families in Need

Please help support some families separated by ICE.

On June 30th at 1:00 pm, 3 ICE kidnapping vehicles (9JYR280, 8YIT106) drove down Forest Lawn Dr.

Where more than 10 flower vendor stands set up every morning, rain or shine, in order to provide for their families. If you reside in the area or have ever even once driven down that street, then I’m 100% positive you have seen flower vendors there. I’m talking about 10+ years of the same vendors in the same location, providing various welcoming stops for families visiting their loved ones at Forest Lawn Cemetery to pick up flowers to give their missed ones. Regulars that stop by even know some of them by name; it’s literally their second home.

They made what I believe was their first stop at 6750 Forest Lawn Dr and took an innocent man named Bruno Santos. Bruno Santos, a humble man from Guatemala, is one of the workers who has years of experience selling in that same exact spot he was taken from. He had just bought lunch from a food truck 5 minutes prior to being kidnapped (which he didn’t even get to try). When the ICE vehicles pulled up, I’m almost certain that he thought it was just another customer and approached them fast to attend to them/offer them flowers (what he always did) but unfortunately got taken. He does have an older son here in the country who unfortunately had to find out about the situation through a phone call and is now here alone.

After taking Bruno, they headed directly to the next spot where they unfortunately took another lady and possibly 2 others.

Following that stop, they made the next stop with Julio. Julio H. is a family-oriented man from Guatemala with a clean record. A loving and responsible father of 4 children all under the age of 15. A man who wakes up 7 days a week and is out of the house by 7:10 am to head over to set up his stand and prepare his own bouquets while he waits for customers to roll in. He wouldn’t make it back home till around 7 pm, where he would finally get to enjoy time with his wife and children.

Julio was the sole provider for his family. Since the news, his wife has not only been in distress but is terrified of what’s next. She recently underwent medical surgery which prevents her from working. However, she has 4 children to provide for.

The family of this hardworking man is in need of financial help in these times, having his wife to fend for the rent, groceries (while fearing to go out), and just necessities his kids might need. We ask for your help to have his family members have one less worry during these hard times. Legal defense is expensive but needed for both families, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m making this GoFundMe page on behalf of the families as they don’t speak English. 100% of the funds raised will be distributed to both families as needed.

Thank you for every & any donation. Please SHARE & keep these families in your daily prayers.
