Neighbors recently found this incredibly affectionate, gentle dog wandering our neighborhood and stepped in to keep her safe. She is now staying with us temporarily while we help her recover and work with local rescues to find her a long-term foster or forever home.

When she arrived, she was clearly exhausted, starving, and severely dehydrated. Despite everything, she has been nothing but loving and grateful. She is currently being treated for fleas and parasites, and we are also hoping to have her spayed as part of getting her healthy and ready for placement.

We are raising funds to cover her care while she is with us, including veterinary visits, medication, food, and her spay surgery. Initial invoices are included below, and the most affordable spay option we have found is $900 (including pre-operative bloodwork).

Any contribution, large or small, will go directly toward her care. If we are fortunate enough to raise more than is needed, all additional funds will be donated to the rescue organization that ultimately helps place her.

Thank you so much for supporting this sweet girl, who we have named Bruna Caramelo, and helping give her the fresh start she deserves.
