Friends, family, neighbors of Bruce. All who know him have probably been blessed by him at some point in your friendship. If it was to help build something, fix something, taste his BBQ, or just enjoy listening to him play the drums at a backyard get-together, the man has many talents and staying positive is one that he's hanging onto right now!
On June 8th, Bruce was admitted to Pomona Valley Hospital unknowing that he had suffered a major stroke. While in the hospital, he had additional strokes, causing left side paralysis, losing the ability to walk, use his arm, as well as damage to his vision. After several weeks at Pomona Valley Hospital, he was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital for a month and later returned home at the end of July.
The family is managing as best they can with his daily care, meals, medication management, transportation to appointments, and monthly expenses, but they do need more support.
Unfortunately, Bruce was approved for a very minimal amount of disability, denied CalFresh (food stamps) due to previously being his father's live-in caretaker, and he is approved for one physical therapy appointment a week.
The family needs your support to help in Bruce's recovery journey as they don't know how long he will be out of work. The family would like to pay for additional physical therapy sessions, purchase equipment to assist in daily living and rehabilitation, as well as help with food, household items, and other monthly expenses.
Here’s where you come in; please donate what you can to help them with these expenses. Any and all donations, prayers and well wishes are greatly appreciated by the family!
