Bruce “The Juice” Vuurens has always been the heartbeat of Rugby Road, anchoring the groove as the band’s bass player and quietly guiding the music with his talent and humility. For years, Bruce has brought people together through his music, creating memories and friendships that have lasted a lifetime. Now, Bruce is facing one of the toughest challenges of his life.

Recently, Bruce began experiencing troubling symptoms that could be early onset dementia, or possibly the effects of Long Covid. The exact cause is still unknown, and the uncertainty has made this time even more difficult for Bruce and those who love him. What we do know is that Bruce needs access to the right doctors, specialists, and treatments to find answers and begin his journey toward healing.
