Support Bruce's Life Saving Treatment
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kayla and I'm asking for help to cover emergency veterinary care for my beloved cat Bruce Wayne. He is one year old and was taken in last night, 9/3/25, for a life-threatening urinary blockage.
I rushed him to the ER around 9:00 PM after noticing he had not urinated in over 24 hours. I was there until 3:30 AM as they attempted to relieve his blockage. I was then informed by the doctor that the blockage was not dissolving and they needed to sedate him and give him a catheter, requiring hospitalization and at least 24-hour monitoring. The estimated cost of treatment is around $3,603.09, and the doctor has already informed me that I will be paying the high estimate due to a 24 hour long stay (documentation provided in images).
The morning of 9/4/25, I was informed he is passing blood through the catheter but is stable. I am praying he makes a full recovery and that I can take him home tomorrow. He will not be able to return home until he is able to urinate on his own.
The doctor explained that his blockage is likely due to a chronic condition that is somewhat common in cats called FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis). However, when a blockage occurs in a male cat, it can result in death in less than 48 hours. His sister, Lucy, also has FIC. Making a safe, stress-free home and providing consistent care is critical for their well-being and something I have been dedicated to. I will be enrolling in pet insurance for both of my cats to hopefully prevent any more major costs in the future.
Your support would help cover:
• Emergency vet care and hospitalization
• Catheterization and monitoring
• Medication
Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference and goes directly towards supporting his life-saving care. Even sharing this campaign with friends and family means so much to us.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
UPDATE: It is 9/5/25, and I was given the green light to bring him home around 2 PM. A few hours home and he began passing blood clots in his urine, so he is currently back at the vet and has been prescribed additional medication. I will update with more information soon.
UPDATE: Its nearly 9 PM and he is back home and resting. He seems to be doing better for now. Fingers crossed there will be no more visits!
