Honoring Bruce Blann: His Fight Against Liver Cancer

Bruce Blann is a devoted husband/life partner, father, grandfather, and proud Marine veteran, and has recently been diagnosed with Stage IV hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), an advanced form of liver cancer. This news has shaken our family, but Bruce has always been courageous—and we know he will approach this battle with the same strength and determination he has shown throughout his life.

Bruce is the loving husband of Janet, stepfather to Hannah, Lindsay, & Khrystina, and a cherished “Papaw” to many adoring grandchildren. All of his children were not related by blood, but by heart and we would not be the people we are today without him. He has been the rock of our family, providing love, wisdom, and unwavering support. He would do anything to help someone, including “giving the shirt off his back”. Whether it was serving his country, helping neighbors, and especially being there for his loved ones, Bruce has dedicated his life to helping others.

Now, Bruce needs our help.

He has started immunotherapy treatment in hopes of gaining more time with us. Thankfully, as a Marine veteran, the VA is covering his medical expenses, but the financial strain of everyday living expenses is growing as he is unable to complete contract work (1099) to audit houses, which does not include benefits like short-term disability. Bruce will be out of work during treatment, making it difficult to cover essential costs like housing, utilities, transportation, and daily necessities.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help relieve the financial burden on Bruce and Janet during this difficult time. Our goal is to ensure that Bruce can focus entirely on his health and well-being without the added stress of financial worries. Funds will go directly to Bruce for living expenses.
