Support Brownie's Recovery from Life-Saving Surgery

Everyone who knows Brownie has said he is the friendliest cat they have ever met. When new people come to our home, our other cats will hide and be scared, but Brownie is never afraid to jump in a new person's lap and greet them. He is full of energy, goes crazy around any type of food, and will cuddle with just about anyone. He is 3 years old, black short hair, and loves kisses from anyone.
Early this week, he started lacking energy and could not keep his food down. He was constantly retching, vomiting, and could barely move. We took him to the vet where they said he may have something wrong in his stomach - and after a few Xrays and different opinions, saw there might be some blockage in his gut and may have some intestinal issues that could be fatal as well.
This all happened on a Friday afternoon, meaning the only way to save Brownie's life was to take him to a vet emergency room who would have the staff and expertise on duty to help him. After doing more tests and more opinions, the doctor agreed that performing a surgery to cut open his stomach and remove any blockages would be best for him. Knowing the extreme costs, we put the surgery on a credit card not knowing how we could pay it - but it didn't matter, as long as Brownie was safe.
After the surgery, they confirmed any blockage was removed, and he is currently recovering from the surgery and is starting to get back to his old self again slowly.
We are grateful to live somewhere where this kind of help is available at a moment's notice, and are incredibly thankful they were able to save his life. The costs of this treatment were exceeding $8000 - not a small amount of money, and an amount that would put us in further debt.
Please, if you can spare anything at all, my wife, Brownie, and myself would be incredibly thankful. And if you can’t donate please share - even sharing this could make a huge difference.
Every donation will go directly to Brownie's medical expenses - as he may need follow up treatments as well.
Thank you for reading, and for any help you can provide during Brownie's recovery.
