Brooks Leatherwood, my friend and co-worker, was involved in a serious vehicle accident on March 9th. The accident left him with a skull fracture, a subarachnoid brain bleed, and pneumonia. Since the accident, Brooks has been under sedation and intubated, and he has remained in the intensive care unit at UMC in Lubbock. The situation has been incredibly difficult for Brooks and his loved ones as they navigate this challenging time.
Brooks’s family is facing not only the emotional toll of this accident, but also the financial strain that comes with extended hospital stays, specialized care, and the need for family members to travel from out of town to be by his side. Once Brooks is discharged, he will need ongoing rehabilitation and support to help him recover.
We are reaching out to our community for help during this challenging time. Your donation will go directly toward Brooks’s medical expenses, travel costs for his family, and the rehabilitation he will need after leaving the hospital. This was a horrible accident, and as a friend of Brooks and his entire family, I would like to thank you for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in Brooks’s journey to recovery.
