For the last 6 years I have worked as a RN taking care of others in times of need. In July I began having some (what I thought was mild) medical issues. I continued to work despite feeling ill until a trip to the ER turned my world upside down and resulted in meeting a lot of different medical providers. I was diagnosed with Low Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer (Stage 4), which is a very rare and hard to treat cancer. Due to the numerous Doctor visits and receiving chemotherapy, I am unable to work at this time; especially given that I care for the sickest of sick in my line of work. I have established care at MD Anderson in Houston, TX and will be traveling there often for care. I have a hard, long road ahead of me but I am determined to come out on top. Many folks have asked how to give money, where to send money, or how to help… I had a family member encourage me to create this so it’s here if people want to help.
