“I never allow money to be a factor when deciding if one of my boys goes on an AAU trip or if they can play in a local tournament. I founded and run BRC by myself and with the help of Coach Paul. I founded this Brooklyn based AAU program to help my son and those kids out there in NYC who may not have the means to play for big branded AAU organizations. I pay out of pocket (buy/make team jerseys, referee/tournament costs, gas, hotel expenses). Truth is- regardless if parents chip in, there are always some money shortcomings. At BRC, we are heavy on sportsmanship, and academics! It doesn’t just end with basketball- that is just a factor in our organization. Spring/Summer travel ball is happening soon. I’d like to be able to get all of my players the exposure they need to get them to their next chapters in life- college!! I am asking for donations to support our players and the team with shortcomings we find. If you are able to give please do- ANY donation is greatly appreciated. If you can’t donate, please share the link or just spread a positive message about our program. My primary goal is and will always be, to keep these pre-teens/teens positively busy and out of harms way. Additionally, they are all good enough to potentially land a spot on one of thousands of college basketball programs. Sports, not only give kids a productive way to spend time, it instills work ethic, teaches them how to work together, builds self confidence and most important character. Coach Lou has been instrumental in helping the boys learn, discover, grow and cultivate all of this. Coach Lou continually teaches the boys about playing the right way. To many he has become a father figure. He picks the boys up for practices and games, feeds them on long days with multiple games and is constantly looking for ways to help them use basketball as a way to move forward. In addition to this, he stands up and defends his kids when needed. Coach Lou is a sounding board, teacher and motivator.”
