Support Brooke's Recovery Journey

A family near and dear to our heart needs your help...

Last week we were notified Brooke was fighting for her life, not from her most recent diagnosis of Lumbosacral Radiculoplexus Neuropathy which impacts her spine/daily movement, but from a flesh eating bacteria ravaging her body. It had started under her arm and by the time she was taken to emergency surgery a lot of her skin and muscle tissue had already died. The future is unknown while Brooke recovers. Doctors don't know if it will spread, what the healing process will look like, or what her daily life will look like beyond today - we do know there are more surgeries in the future for reconstruction of her arm.

Brooke and her husband Kevin started new jobs this year since they both lost their long term employment at companies that closed in Eau Claire. Because of this they are out of PTO after this week and also do not qualify for short term disability or FMLA through their new jobs.

Right now we do know that when Brooke gets home (hopefully for Christmas), she will need assistance and time to heal without the worry of bills. We know the economy has not been kind to most of us lately but if you are able to help this sweet family we will forever be grateful. The funds will go towards bills and a wound nurse that will come into their home and change her dressings daily.

If you know Brooke, she isn't concerned about herself (literally not even a little bit) and is mostly worried that her kids, Mason (12) and Kaelynn (10) are taken care of. Also...she already has Christmas presents wrapped and under the tree...of course.
