My name is Brooke, and I am currently recovering from an unexpected episode of acute liver failure that required a week in the ICU. During that time, my illness also contributed to a car accident, adding financial strain to an already challenging situation.

Since then, I have been unable to work and have struggled to cover basic expenses such as rent, groceries, medical bills, and accident-related costs. At my lowest point, I couldn’t stand for more than 30 minutes or lift more than 10 pounds. I’ve made meaningful progress, but recovery is ongoing and returning to full capacity will take time.

I have proudly served for 12 years as a Flight Operational and Aerospace Medical Technician, and I look forward to returning to work once I am medically able. While insurance has helped, it has not covered everything. I am seeking temporary support to remain financially stable until I can either return to work with appropriate accommodations or complete the medical retirement process.
