My name is Diana and I am Brooke’s mother. I have watched Brooke walk through some of the hardest seasons a person can face — abuse, addiction, and the long road back. I’ve also watched her fight her way out of it with strength and determination. I am incredibly proud of the woman, mother, and person she has become. She has rebuilt her life from the ground up, and this is the last piece she needs help finishing to finally put all of this behind her for good.

Brooke is a working single mother in recovery who has completely rebuilt her life from the ground up — and today, she is thriving. She has a stable, fulfilling job she is proud of, lives independently in the home she provides for herself and her daughter, and has created a life that once felt impossible. She is not just getting by — she is flourishing.

Her path to this point was not easy. Brooke’s addiction began during an abusive relationship. For three years, she tried to help her partner get clean before ever using herself. During that time, she experienced ongoing verbal, emotional, and physical abuse that left her in an extremely vulnerable headspace. Eventually, she was introduced to the very substance she had been trying to keep him away from.

That moment changed the trajectory of her life. The addiction that followed became intertwined with control and survival, and she found herself healing from abuse and addiction at the same time — one of the hardest battles she has ever faced.

And she overcame it.

Since then, Brooke has rebuilt her life with determination and accountability. She successfully completed probation a full year early, and her first and only felony was reduced to a misdemeanor as a result of her progress. She works hard, supports her household, and continues to grow personally and professionally. She has done the work — and it shows.

The one lasting piece of her past that still holds her back is the severe dental damage left behind from those years.

Brooke is currently in treatment through the UNLV School of Dental Medicine in Las Vegas and has already paid for and completed exams, cleanings, and extractions for multiple broken teeth that could not be saved. She took responsibility and started the process herself.

Now, she is at a standstill because she cannot afford the next phase of treatment. The next steps include extensive fillings throughout most of her teeth, followed by implants for her four upper front teeth and the back teeth she has lost. Even through a reduced-cost dental school program, the expense is more than she can manage alone while continuing to support herself and her daughter.

Years of addiction caused serious dental damage, and the medication used in her recovery — sublingual buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex) — contributed to further wear and weakening of her teeth over time. She is grateful it helped her stay sober, but now she is facing the long-term dental consequences and working to repair the damage responsibly.

Brooke has rebuilt nearly every part of her life. She is stable, independent, and proud of how far she has come. The only thing still holding her back from fully stepping into the life she has created is her dental health.

This fundraiser will go directly toward:
• fillings for most of her remaining teeth
• implants for her four upper front teeth
• replacing missing back teeth so she can eat and function normally

Completing this treatment will allow her to:
• eat without pain or limitation
• speak and smile with confidence
• continue growing professionally and personally
• fully reflect the life she has worked so hard to build

Brooke has already proven what she can overcome. She has done the work, rebuilt her life, and is standing firmly on the other side — strong, stable, and flourishing. Now she’s asking for help completing one of the last steps in her recovery journey.

Any support — whether through donating or sharing — makes a meaningful difference and helps her move forward with confidence.

Thank you for supporting recovery, resilience, and the opportunity for someone who fought hard to rebuild her life to finish the final step.
