Hi everyone, my name is Brooke. I’m 23 years old and currently in treatment for a rare form of cancer, call Ewing sarcoma. This journey has been overwhelming, unexpected, and emotionally heavy, but I’m staying strong, hopeful, and surrounded by love. I’m sharing my story because I’ve learned that no one should have to fight alone.
One of the hardest parts of this diagnosis is knowing that the treatments that can save my life may permanently damage my fertility. Because of this, I’m in the process of freezing my eggs before beginning certain treatments. Unfortunately, fertility preservation is extremely expensive and not covered by insurance. Just the medication itself is $2,000 not counting the procedures, appointments, and storage fees, the costs add up fast.
I’m creating this GoFundMe to help cover medical expenses, travel to appointments, time away from work — and most importantly, the process of preserving my ability to have children in the future. Protecting my fertility means protecting my dreams, my future family, and hope through all of this.
I’ve learned that no one should have to fight alone. Asking for help doesn’t make anyone weak.
Truly anything helps, whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Thank you for being part of my support system. Your kindness means more than you could ever know. God bless.
