My name is Brooke, and I am in the hospital unexpectedly due to a wound on my leg, and obviously, I am unable to work. My income is the only income for my two girls and grandson who turns one in two weeks. I don't have an expected release date and am in trouble financially now more than ever.

I am fortunate to have insurance to cover my medical bills and expenses until the end of this month, but I don't have any way to pay for the groceries, rent, utilities, or car insurance or payments until I can return to work. I work as a server full-time, and although my job is secure, I don't have vacation time or any other way to supplement my income while I am out of work.

I have never had to ask for help like this, but don't know what else I can do that might help my family at this time. Any help is so appreciated and might help my family not end up homeless due to this situation.
