Hello friends and family!! My name is Dustin Weiss and I am starting this GoFundMe in hopes to help out my dear friend as she navigates her very difficult health journey ahead!!

Help Support Brooke Byam: A Community Effort

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As many of you know, our beloved Brooke Byam has recently faced a significant health challenge. She has been diagnosed with an arteriovenous (AV) malformation, which is causing damage to her heart. To address this serious issue, Brooke will require open-heart surgery.

Brooke has dedicated her life to music and community, making her living as a performer and operating a vibrant live music venue in Downtown Clinton, Iowa. She has brought joy and entertainment to many of us, and now it’s our turn to help her in her time of need.

The medical bills are already piling up. To date, she has already accrued almost $15,000 in medical debt and she’s just getting started. With more scans, tests, and visits to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, her bills will only keep getting worse. We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate some of the burden of these medical expenses and the loss of income.

In the near future, we will also set up another campaign to assist with her recovery process after the surgery. But for now, every contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in helping Brooke focus on what truly matters — her health and recovery.
