Hello! My name is Brook Dill and I am an art teacher at Dr. Jorge Prieto Math and Science Academy in Chicago Public Schools. I have been teaching at this school since 2009 when it opened. About two years into my time there we became overcrowded and I was put on a cart to teach for 9 years! I was very excited in 2019 when I was told there would be a second art teacher and we would have a classroom. I shared the art room at Prieto for 5 years. This year will be the first year I will have my own room since 2011. I am so excited and I cannot wait to really do the kinds of projects and work that I have been wanting to do for so long. The budget is sparse as there are four arts positions at my school and we share the money. I am looking to supplement this by doing this GoFundMe. Please consider helping out! There’s a bunch of very talented artists in my building that would love to learn more about art through trying new things.

The money would be used for creating ceramics projects, expanding the painting program, making more sculptures and 3D art, buying specialized materials for the various grade levels, and offering opportunities to scholars who want to expand their art knowledge for high school to create diverse portfolios.
