Support Bronx's Fight Against Cancer and Seizures

Donation protected
Hello, my partner and I adopted Bronx last year, just the day before Thanksgiving, through a rescue run by a dear friend. Bronx had been through a lot before we found him—bounced from one owner to another, and ultimately abandoned in freezing weather in a different state. When we brought him home, we quickly noticed that he was limping badly on his back right leg, to the point where he wouldn’t use it at all. After a visit to the vet, it was clear that amputation was the best option.

During the surgery, the vet discovered that Bronx has *Chondrosarcoma*, a rare form of bone cancer typically found in the limbs, ribs, or skull. Although chemotherapy was suggested, it was not a viable option for this type of cancer. Despite the diagnosis, we are committed to giving Bronx the best life we can—one filled with love and care. He has severe allergies, constant skin issues, and suffers from extreme anxiety (he’s currently on Prozac). We’ve grown accustomed to his ongoing health struggles, but no matter what, we continue to give him all the love he deserves.

Fast forward to last night. I was woken up to Bronx screaming. I rushed to his side and saw that his entire body was convulsing—he was having a seizure. He was flailing, screaming, and foaming at the mouth. He even peed on himself. I was in complete panic, not knowing what to do other than hold him and reassure him. After what felt like an eternity, Bronx became disoriented and didn’t recognize us. Out of fear, he tried to attack both me and my partner. It was one of the most traumatic experiences we’ve ever been through. The whole ordeal lasted almost 9 minutes.

We immediately took him to the vet for blood work, and thankfully, most of the results came back normal. However, one of his liver levels was elevated, which could indicate something more serious. The next step is to get an MRI to check for a possible mass.

In the last month and a half, Bronx has also started having accidents in the house every day, something he’s never done before. Initially, we thought it might be behavioral, but now we’re wondering if it could be linked to the seizure.

At this point, we need help. We’re asking for donations and/or shares to help us cover the cost of the MRI and any further treatment Bronx might need. I never like to ask for money, but right now, I just want to know that my sweet boy is going to be okay.

We are devastated and at a complete loss. Bronx has been through so much in his short life, and we just want to give him the best possible chance at a happy, healthy future. Thank you for any help you can provide, whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just positive thoughts for our little fighter.
