Support Bronx Latin 4-H: Empowering Youth Through Hands-On Learning and Life-Changing Experiences

At Bronx Latin, we believe in nurturing the potential of every child beyond the classroom. Our vibrant 4-H program is a cornerstone of youth development, offering young people opportunities to build confidence, leadership, and valuable life skills through exciting hands-on projects in science, health, agriculture, and civic engagement. With your generous support, we can expand these enriching activities and give our students an unforgettable chance to visit Cornell University for the transformative 4-H Career Explorations trip.

Bronx Latin’s 4-H program serves as a positive, supportive environment where children ages 8 to 18 engage in projects that spark creativity and encourage critical thinking. Our participants dive into topics ranging from agriculture and healthy living to STEM and community service, all while being mentored by dedicated adult volunteers (Programs - National 4-H Council, 2025). These activities empower youth to lead with confidence and resilience, skills that extend far beyond their school years (Benefits of 4-H - National 4-H Council, 2025). However, running this program requires resources to provide quality materials and make the learning experiences accessible to all students.

The funds raised will directly benefit Bronx Latin’s 4-H activities by enhancing project supplies, securing expert mentors, and organizing special events that motivate and inspire (Extracurriculars - Bronx Latin, 2012). But beyond these local benefits, we hope to support our students' participation in the 4-H Career Explorations trip at Cornell University. This three-day conference invites youth to explore academic fields, develop leadership skills, and experience college life through workshops and campus tours (4-H Career Explorations - NYS 4-H, 2016). For many of our students, this trip is a pivotal moment that broadens their horizons and ignites aspirations for higher education and future careers (4-H Career Explorations - NYS 4-H, 2016).

Unfortunately, the costs of travel, lodging, and conference fees can be a barrier for many families. Your donations would help cover these expenses, ensuring that every deserving child has the chance to attend this eye-opening event at Cornell (4-H Trip Opportunities - Cornell Cooperative Extension, 2023).
