She came, she saw, she served. She had sass and class. She sang for the Lord, shared her wisdom, and loved hard. She remained strong and gave life her all, always putting her best forward. She inspired generations of women, men, and children across the globe. While her legacy and powerful impact will remain here with us, she has received her greatest and well deserved reward in heaven. Well done Brontie. God's good and faithful servant.
We are fundraising to support Brontie and her family during this difficult time. Your donations will help in covering funeral costs. Thank you for your support.
Her Story:
On Dec 13, 2024, Brontie was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer. This diagnosis came after a tumor was found in her colon in 2021, where she did chemo and radiation. While those treatments attempted to localize and shrink the tumor, it wasn’t enough to prevent having to proceed with surgery to remove the tumor.
In a follow-up appointment from that surgery, a scan showed a new development of lesions in her right hip. Those could potentially cause fractures if not taken care of, so another surgery was performed that included a rod in her right femur to prevent those fractures. Unfortunately, Brontie’s health continued to decline, and her family made the choice to relocate her from Miami to Central FL to be closer to her children. When seen by doctors in Central FL, it was discovered the tumor had spread all over her body.
After developing neuropathy from treatment and chronic anemia that led to two blood transfusions, Brontie made the decision to not take on any further treatment due to what her body had become. Because of her prognosis, she was placed on hospice. Alongside hospice, her family and friends have been by her side, making the rest of her days as comfortable and pain-free as possible.
Over the course of Brontie's life, she displayed God's love in serving her community and loved ones. As the eldest daughter of three brothers and two sisters, wife to Errol Stewart, mother to her three children, second mom to her nieces and nephews, grandmother to her two grandchildren, an educator, and in recent years sharing her testimony, wisdom, and faith with others as co-host of the "Kingdom Living Live" podcast.
During her transition, she continued to share her wisdom, love, faith, and gratitude. "I don't know how much God has left for me on this land of the living, but I promise to give Him the best of my life and I just give Him all the praise".
