The moment Brody began his wrestling career, he talked about making it to one of the biggest tournaments of the year, which just happens to be the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals wrestling tournament in Fargo, ND.
In 2024, Brody suffered a broken arm at Pins in the Park at Carowinds in North Carolina. This injury caused him to miss Super 32. In his first match of his junior year of high school, he suffered another broken arm, which had to be surgically repaired, causing him to miss his entire junior year of wrestling. This injury could have ended his wrestling career, but it didn't, and just a few weeks back from this injury, he was wrestling at the High School Nationals in Virginia Beach. Once the high school season is over, you will find Brody up at the crack of dawn on Saturdays, in the back seat of the car asleep, heading to a wrestling tournament to compete and improve on his skill level. Brody loves to train, learn new moves, and there is absolutely no quit in him.
To qualify for Fargo, he needed one more win at the SCUSAW Free and Greco State in South Carolina. After wrestling all day, he had to dig deep, and like a true warrior on the mat, he gained the victory and his dream came true. HE QUALIFIED FOR FARGO!!!!!!
Brody spends his summers wrestling with his high school team, wrestling club, and he will be attending Iowa University wrestling camp for the 2nd year in a row. He also plans on attending the prospect wrestling camp at the Citadel when he returns from Fargo. Brody is a leader on and off the mat to his peers and in the wrestling community. Brody does all this hard work because his dream is to wrestle at the collegiate level.
Wrestling is not a cheap sport by any means. Training, traveling to tournaments, attending camps, and all the gear that is required can add up really quick.
Going to Fargo is so much more than just a wrestling tournament. It is a life experience that a wrestler will never forget. You get to train with some of the best wrestlers in the world, you get to compete against some of the best wrestlers in the world, and you get to make lifelong friendships within the wrestling community.
This is Brody's dream and just another step in his journey in his wrestling career. He could use your support in making this dream come true. We are raising money to pay for the travel to Fargo, tournament fees, and gear required for the tournament.
Brody would greatly appreciate any assistance he can get to make this dream come true. I appreciate you reading about Brody's journey and your consideration in helping him out!
Sincerely,
Timothy Mercer
