my name is Ashley Melo … I don’t typically reach out for help like this. But I am reaching out to any one who may to be able to help my father out . We have a dog named Brody he is a 10 yr old mix . He just recently got diagnosed with mellitus diabetes.. we have started him on insulin twice a day . But he is struggling . He cannot keep food down . He’s having trouble digesting his food . He will not eat at all. The vet suggested that he stay at the hospital for a couple nights to get him on the right track . But it’s going to cost a pretty penny . My father has always been a hard working man . He has fallen on hard times with his own health issues and feels terrible he cannot afford the hospital stay for his puppy . Brody is his best friend and will be lost with out him . Myself , my brother , and sister cannot really help much with this . So I am reaching out for help . He’s loosing weight rapidly and if we don’t get him in there, I’m sure he won’t make it . If you all could donate or even share that would be a tremendous help !!! The hospital he would stay at is bay state hospital vet emergency in Swansea ma. The total would be 4600$. We’ve tried every avenue , we’ve tried to apply for credit care , and scratch pay . Unfortunately none of us had gotten approved. If you choose not to donate here , you can always call bay state hospital for Brody . Again he’s 10 years old he’s a mixed breed , and his owner is John baker . My father loves this dog . He’s had dogs his whole life and to see him fall apart over a hospital stay is so heart breaking to watch . I know he’s just an animal to some , be he’s our animal . He’s our baby . We’ve had him since he was 8 eeeks old and we adopted him from a high kill shelter down south . We need to try and save him . Any little bit helps !!
