If you’ve known me for a while, you know my rescue dogs are my whole world and I really love fostering/adopting seniors. 2025 has been such a tough year because we said goodbye to our 3 seniors- Nana, Lady and my angel boy Cubby. It’s been heartbreaking. But as hard as it has been, I always say I would foster another senior tomorrow if one needed a home. Well, make that 2 this time!

Brody and Monarch are a bonded senior pair who have been stuck at the shelter since January. No one has stepped up for them after all this time. I couldn’t let them stay there any longer so they will be coming to the Island of the Misfit Toys this Sunday.

Brody, the larger lab mix, has some serious mobility issues in his old age. He currently goes to cold laser and massage therapy sessions weekly, which we will continue with. But one thing I would like to have for him here is a stroller to take him on longer walks or out in the community. You never know if we could find a forever family out there one day!

I am starting a fundraiser to help purchase the stroller and a therapeutic gel pad for the stroller. If anyone could spare even a little, it would help me purchase this for him and would help give my wallet a little break from all these rescue expenses. Over the years it has taken quite a toll.
