Support Brody's Emergency Medical Journey

Hello everyone, my name is Tyler Oscarson, and my girlfriend Bella and I are asking for your help during a time of need. At the moment, our beautiful Aussie Shepherd, Brody, is undergoing emergency treatments at the UC Davis Center for Veterinary medicine. After a freak accident, Brody had fractured his jaw and lost several teeth, as well as a lot of blood due to a severed mandibular artery.

After being rushed to the Pet ER in Reno and spending just under 24 hours there, we were informed by the doctors that we must get him to the UC Davis Medical Center ASAP due to his protein/albumin levels falling so low due to blood loss, and because they didn’t have the plasma supply to properly save Brody. Miraculously, he was able to make the rushed car ride to UC Davis, and they were able to stabilize his blood levels.

As of now, they are keeping a close watch on him for any signs of brain trauma or depleting protein levels for the next day or two, and will put him under anesthesia to run scans and plan the oral surgery to repair his jaw fracture. During this time, Bella and I have been under a great deal of stress both emotionally and financially, and this has taken quite a toll on our entire family. Brody is like a son to us, and like a grandson to our parents, and to see him going through this has created such a deep pain in our hearts.

This is why we are reaching out to you for any help that we can get. Anything at this point would be a gigantic help, and whatever you can do to help Brody, Bella, and me would be forever held grateful in our hearts. Thank you for your concern and understanding. We will continue to provide updates as this progresses, and hope that Brody can pull through and make a proper recovery.
