For Brody Canas and family

Tina is raising support for Brody Canas and his family after the heartbreaking death of Brody’s dad, Zimran Canas, on Labor Day. Zimran was experiencing a mental health crisis while the family was trying to get the medication he desperately needed, but because they were denied by health insurance they were unable to get it in time. Emergency help was called in hopes of getting medical assistance, but police responded instead and fatally shot Zimran. Brody and Zimran’s wife witnessed this traumatic event, and the pain of that moment will stay with them for a long time. This family was failed at every turn, and they are now left grieving an unimaginable loss while trying to make sense of what happened.

The funds raised will help Brody and his family cover funeral costs, therapy, and immediate support as they cope with this trauma and figure out how to move forward.
