Support Brodie's Fight for Survival
Spende geschützt
Well, here it goes… I was put in a situation I have always dreaded. My dog Brodie had to have emergency surgery to save his life.
His gallbladder burst and I did not have any options as far as time went. He was septic and he was dying.
The doctor came in the room and told me it’s a $10,000 ($9928.99 total) surgery and he has a 50-50 chance of survival.
I chose to do it.
Two years ago, I had to make the decision to spend money or save my puppies life and I didn’t have the money then. I’ve never forgiven myself, and I couldn’t let Brodie down like that.
- He is my heart and soul. My friend, my companion, and I saw in his eyes he wanted to fight. He still has many good years left. I knew he could do it. I hesitated for two seconds and said, do it. I by no means have the ability to pay that kind of price tag, but I wasn’t going to let him die because of money.
I thought I’ll figure that out later. He is my boy. He has been there with me through thick and thin, and I was not going to let a financial decision take his life.
If you feel like you can donate a little bit, I would appreciate it, and if not, I totally understand that too. Honestly, I’m not expecting anything.
Times are tough for everyone right now.
He has made it so far and he’s going to survive, I hope, and like I said, I don’t regret my decision for one second. I’m just going to work harder.
(I can send you the receipt for the surgery if you decided to donate. I can’t seem to figure out how to put it up on the GoFundMe.)
