My name is Corey Salas and I am opening this fundraiser for my sister Brittney Salas. Brittney has Guillain-Barré syndrome, a very rare autoimmune disease where her immune system attacks her nervous system. It's progressed to full body paralysis and she is intubated. She was transferred to UCSF on Sunday 8/2 and is in the ICU. She was in Santa Maria in the ICU for about 3 weeks where she was regressing, because of her rapid decline since being admitted she needed a specialist on her case. Transport was by ambulance to UCSF where she has a few specialist on her case. She has a very long road ahead of Physical Therapy and neurology to get her body functioning properly again.

At the moment its a waiting game, we don't have many answers yet but we are praying to see progress and the first step is to see her breathing on her own again.

Any help is appreciated. We want to help pay her regular monthly bills as well as her hospital bills that are quickly accumulating.
