Support Brittney's Battle Against Cancer

Update 4/19 - Brittney had her surgery today. She did great!! They were able to reroute her colon around the tumor, but due to safety concerns, they could not remove the tumor. The tumor is against her pelvic wall making to dangerous to remove. Once they got in there, they found a large abscess in her pelvic area they worked to clean up and put in a drain tube to ensure the infection completely heals up.

They were able to get a sample of the colon tumor to figure out what kind of cancer she has. So for now, we are focused on getting her eating again and recovering from this surgery, so we can get started on chemo sooner than later.

Hi, my name is Sandy and I am fundraising for my sweet daughter Brittney Kattenberg.

Brittney has been having issues with pain in her abdomen for months. She went to the doctor and urgent care multiple times and they really just blew her off. Telling her it was stress related.

Fast forward to today, we found out she has colon cancer and the tumor perforated the colon wall. As if this wasn’t enough bad news for the day. We also found out the cancer has spread to her lungs and liver. Once she recovers from colon surgery, she will start chemo to treat the rest of the cancer.

Brittney is a 33 yr old single mom of her beautiful Magnolia. She is a hard working individual and this is going to have her off work for a while.

Any support you can help with is very much appreciated! Well wishes and prayers are also needed! Brittney’s recovery is going to take some time but we will kick cancers butt!!
