Brittany Cox has dedicated her life to helping others as a paramedic, starting her career at Anson EMS right after graduating high school and continuing her EMS work in Abilene for the last 11 years. As a single mom to her 6-year-old daughter, she’s always put her family and her community first, working long hours and extra shifts to make sure everyone is cared for. Now, Brittany is facing a major challenge of her own. She’s scheduled for major stomach surgery to remove a large tumor at Hendricks in Abilene on August 13th and will need to take at least two months off work to recover.
During this time, Brittany will be unable to work, and the bills won’t stop coming. Rent, car payments, utilities, and everyday expenses will still need to be covered, all while she focuses on healing and caring for her daughter. With school starting in August, there are even more responsibilities on her shoulders. Brittany has always made sure her daughter can participate in activities like gymnastics, softball, and basketball, even when times are tough. She’s never been one to ask for help, but right now, she truly needs the support of her friends, family, and community.
By coming together, we can help Brittany cover her essential expenses while she recovers, so she can return to the work she loves and continue being the amazing mom and paramedic she is. Any support will make a real difference for Brittany and her daughter during this difficult time.
