Brittany (Dearstyne ) Hernandez Fight Against Breast Cancer

UPDATE TO BRITTANY

Brittany had a setback with her White Blood count dropping to 400. She had to stop her treatments and be given a series of shots to bring it back up. She is in good spirits and aiming for her surgery of a double mastectomy and lymph node removal the end of October. She will then need to have Radiation, Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy. Her treatments and recovery will be for about 2 years. Please keep Brittany and her family in your prayers!

Brittany is in her second round of treatment. Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy once a week for 13 weeks before she has surgery for a double mastectomy and the removal of lymph nodes. She will need more Chemotherapy and Radiation after surgery with a long 2 year recovery period. It will be then before we find out where she stands with the Cancer. Although her husband Hector is continuing to work and be by Brittany’s side along with a 2 year old and a 2 month old their financial burden needs your support. All funds raised will go towards Brittany’s medical expenses. Won’t you please help!

Brittany is only 28 years old. She is a hardworking, dedicated wife and Mom of 2 young children. Alina who is 2 and Quintyn who is 1 week old. During her pregnancy for Quintyn, Brittany discovered she had Breast Cancer. Putting her baby boy first she started her treatment and delivered him early.

Now that Quintyn has arrived, Brittany will be having surgery, and many treatments to try and cure this terrible disease. She will need medical care, transportation and help with care for the children as her husband, Hector will try to continue working.

Not only will Brittany have to endure this difficult time but her family will also have to face many medical bills.
