Support Eric and Brittany - Cancer Battle

Our sweet Brittany is going through a big trial right now, so let’s rally around her with love. Her husband, Eric, recently started having some health issues that prompted him to go to urgent care. That quickly escalated into a transfer to the ER for more tests, then a hospitalization, and ultimately the diagnosis of stage four colon cancer.

Currently, he has a large tumor blocking most of the sigmoid colon, several areas where the cancer has eaten small holes in the intestines causing bile to leak into his abdomen, 30+ nodules of cancer on the liver which has caused liver failure and ascites, and some small nodules in his lungs. He is also in heart failure with a 15% ejection fraction, which they think is being caused by the stress on his body from all the cancer.

They’re in the beginning stages of figuring out next steps, but right now there are a ton of appointments and care coordination. He will be getting a port next week and the plan is to start chemo on 4/15 and see if they can shrink the larger tumors and slow the spread. He is home now, but very weak, tired, and short of breath.

This is going to be a long road for our wonderful Brittany, and their two kiddos, and we want to do everything we can to help them. ❤️ Let me know if you have any questions. There is also a meal train if anyone wants to participate in that.
