Brittany is a devoted young mother who has faced more than her share of challenges. Last September, our ministry helped her and her newborn son Gabe find a safe place to live after they became homeless. Since then, Brittany has worked hard to care for her family, but life hasn’t gotten any easier. Late last night, Brittany was rushed to the ER and diagnosed with a severe kidney infection. She is now septic and remains in the hospital, fighting to recover.

While Brittany is hospitalized, her mother has stepped in to care for 7-month-old Gabe and was already caring for 2-year-old son, Kash. However, Brittany’s mother is already stretched thin, with limited income and resources, after the passing of her husband less than a year ago. The sudden responsibility of caring for two young children, on top of the emotional stress of Brittany’s illness, has placed an enormous burden on her.

I’ve spent a lot of time with Brittany, her boys, and her mother, and I know how great their needs were even before this medical emergency. Now, the situation is even more urgent. Brittany’s mother needs all the financial support she can get to provide for the boys’ daily needs while Brittany is in the hospital. Funds will help cover Brittany’s lot rent, other bills, child support, and provide for the daily needs of her sons while Brittany is in the hospital.
