Hi, my name is Brittany, and I’m a mother to three beautiful children. I never imagined I would be in a position where I had to ask for help, but my children and I are trying to rebuild our lives after surviving extreme domestic violence and a kidnapping. My three children and I were kidnapped and held against our will by my ex-boyfriend. This was not a misunderstanding or a custody issue. It was intentional and planned. During that time, my children were terrified, and I was powerless to protect them. We truly believed we might not survive. By the grace of God and the help of others, we were found before it was too late. Our lives were saved — but the trauma did not end there. Since then, everything in our lives has changed. My children are living with deep fear and trauma from what they experienced. I’m  under ongoing medical care for a brain injury caused by severe abuse. Because of this injury, I am unable to work right now. On top of the emotional and medical challenges, we were forced to leave our home for safety and are trying to relocate back to our hometown to rebuild our lives in a stable and secure environment.
