Hiiii, my beloved family, friends, and supporters,

I think it's time ⛵️

My dream has been to own a sailboat and spend more time training for voyaging and going on adventures around our islands. I am deeply in love with the ocean and want to get to know her so much better. I've spent a ton of time learning to sail, thinking about what boat ownership means and what different models are out there. Though, I've always just thought it was a pipe dream to have my own boat. 

I found out a couple weeks ago that I need to move out of my apartment at the end of this month (December), which was not expected to happen so soon. I'm thinking maybe it's a sign that I move onto a boat now. I love tiny house living and minimalism, so this would be a great challenge to see if I can make it happen and be happy. Having my own boat would provide housing stability by having my own little house and of course, be challenging and fun. 

I'm starting this fundraiser to ask for help from my beautiful community. I hadn't saved up enough to buy a boat so soon, which is why I'm seeking financial support from any of you who have capacity to. If you can afford $5, then that's freakin awesome. If can, can. If no can, no can and I still love you anyway.

Transparency - Where will this money go?

I intend on purchasing on 25-35ft used sailboat within the price range around ~2-10 thousand dollars. I hope to find one as cheap as reasonably possible and ensure that I have a budget for any repairs, new sails, etc., that I may need to do upfront. I figure if it's cheaper then I'll need more repairs to get it ready to live on and to sail. I want to make sure there's some funds available for taxes, boat insurance and any important gear that might not come with it at the time of purchase. I'm super down to share all this with you all of your interested!

I super love you and I am grateful you have read this far. I want you to know even if you can't make any financial contributions at this moment, you are welcome on any ocean vessel that I ever own. I don't want to add another barrier for other ocean souls who want to experience our seas in this way. This is meant to be a boat anyone in the community can enjoy, I will just happen to live on it and take care of it.
