Hello Families of the San Diego Waldorf Community--

We are reaching out to invite those of you who have available means to assist a WSSD family who are facing an unexpected and tremendous life challenge. Due to the sensitive nature of events, details will remain private, yet all support is welcome.

The Wright Family--Brittany, Jordan and daughter Lyla (a WSSD student in Periwinkle and attended two years in nursery)--will be in need of immediate support and ongoing assistance as they navigate present day challenges and uncertainties of what may come next. Thankfully, the family is safe yet there are many unknowns relating to medical care and expenses, legal fees and the healing journey ahead.

Contributions can come in many forms, and all are equally helpful. For those who can provide financial assistance, that is greatly appreciated. And, for those who can help in others ways, that is greatly appreciated as well.

Brittany has been a handwork committee member, a Waldorf yoga instructor and the winter fairy at this year’s festival. She has donated many hours making curtains, ice pack and nap bed covers for the classroom. While her ability to continue these commitments is uncertain, anyone who may step in or bring other skills and talents to the classroom/community would be wonderful and allow Brittany the time and energy she needs going forward. Any other acts of kindness you may offer to the family would be of tremendous help as well.

Please note, funds will be used at the family's discretion with the main focus on medical and legal expenses.
