My name is Alisha Mejia and I am raising funds on behalf of Brittany Grace. Brittany is my ex-husband's partner and one of my very best friends. Brittany is fiercely independent and hates to ask anyone for anything. So I'm doing it for her because she not only needs help, she deserves it. Brittany has done an amazing job of raising her sons alone, after tragically losing their dad in 2013. Brittany is both responsible and hardworking. She has been employed full-time at the same company for 20 years. But, due to health reasons Brittany is currently taking FMLA leave. She will be able to collect short-term disability, but isn't expecting her first payment for 3 weeks. Even then, it will only be 60% of her normal salary. Meanwhile, Brittany's expenses are going to remain the same. Her vehicle was totalled in an accident last year & she still hasn't been able to get a replacement. Brittany has already been silently struggling to keep afloat and I'm hoping we can support her enough to keep her head above water. Any money donated will go directly to Brittany so she can cover bills, groceries, and all of the other costs of living while she focuses on getting well. I know a lot of us are having a hard time making ends meet and don't have the means to donate. But, if you are in a position to give even a small amount it would be greatly appreciated.
