Hello, my name is Darby. I am initiating this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my cousin, Brittany Chandler Waid. Those familiar with Brittany consistently describe her as a highly caring, compassionate, and diligent individual, known for her generosity. She is a devoted mother and wife to her two daughters. I wish to share her story with the aim of securing financial assistance to alleviate the stress and concerns she is currently experiencing during this challenging period.

On Halloween night, she experienced a sudden and severe headache while working, leading to her collapsing in pain. She contacted her husband, who was en route home, requesting immediate transport to the emergency room. Upon his arrival, her husband and father-in-law assisted her into the vehicle. At the hospital, her blood pressure was recorded at 250/177. They did some tests and found out she had a brain bleed, so they moved her to the University of Kentucky. They did a bunch more tests and figured out she had a ruptured aneurysm. They conducted a dye test to assess the extent of the bleed and determine the appropriate corrective action. She was in surgery for almost 3 to 3.5 hours; they went through an artery and put in a stent. She'll be at UK for at least 14 days, maybe even more. They're watching for brain swelling to make sure she doesn't get another brain bleed, a clot, or any other complications. She remains in the ICU due to ongoing blood pressure instability. She is still experiencing significant pain.

Brittany and her family, who are typically the type to be assisting others, now require our support. Due to David, her husband, needing to remain by her side, both are currently out of work, yet financial obligations persist. This does not account for the cost of transportation for necessities, family food expenses, or the subsequent medical bills, as she lacks insurance coverage.

All contributions will be allocated to cover extended time off from work, medical expenses, transportation costs, food, and any unforeseen financial challenges that may arise during this difficult period. The objective is to alleviate the family's financial strain, enabling them to concentrate on Brittany's recovery. Any donation, regardless of size, will be greatly appreciated.
