He was rushed to Ottawa Hospital after a major aneurysm or vessel burst in his brain. Grayson was placed in an induced coma to stabilize his condition, but doctors have been clear: his prognosis is dire.

The medical team explained that without surgery, Grayson’s body will continue to breathe until it eventually shuts down. If surgery were performed, it would require removing half of his skull, but even then, Grayson would face an incredibly challenging future—unable to move, see, hear, or breathe on his own. He would rely entirely on machines for survival. Thankfully, the part of his brain responsible for feeling is no longer functioning, so Grayson will not experience any pain. But the reality is that the time Britney and Carl have left with their beloved son is uncertain.

Doctors shared that if Grayson were an adult, they likely would have already lost him. Despite this, Britney and Carl are holding on to every ounce of hope that Grayson’s young body will continue to fight. The road ahead is unclear, and they are facing each day with love, strength, and determination, but the truth remains that they don’t know how much time they have left with Grayson.
