Support Bri’s Recovery After Surgery
Donation protected
My daughter Bri is 13 years old and recently had to undergo a thrombectomy after we rushed her to the ER with a swollen, painful leg. The doctors quickly discovered she had a blood clot, and after further tests, they found three pulmonary embolisms in her lungs. Bri had surgery on Friday and is still in the hospital recovering. She’s doing better since the procedure, but we’re waiting on more tests to check her lungs and heart before she can hopefully come home soon.
This experience has been overwhelming for our family, both emotionally and financially. We live over an hour away from the hospital, so I’ve had to miss work to be by Bri’s side—there was no way I could leave her alone during this. The costs are adding up quickly, from medical bills to travel expenses, and the loss of income has made things even more difficult.
Bri is a caring and strong 13-year-old who loves playing softball and always stands up for others. She’s worried this health scare might keep her from playing the sport she loves. Her favorite song right now is “Break Stuff” by Limp Bizkit, and she’s the kind of person who will help anyone in need. Bri has two sisters who miss her and can’t wait for her to come home. Any support will help us cover these unexpected expenses and focus on Bri’s recovery.
