Hi there! My name is Bri and I run a nonprofit cat rescue called Fixing the Ferals based in Simpsonville, SC.

Right now, I operate out of a 10x16 backyard shed, but we are officially growing into something much bigger. Our goal is to build a small cat sanctuary space where we can safely house, care for, and adopt out more cats in need across Upstate South Carolina.

Greenville County alone is overwhelmed with stray and feral cats. TNR (trap, neuter, return) is one of the most effective ways to stop the cycle of overpopulation, but it takes time, resources, and funding. My mission is to make that process more accessible while also giving injured, abandoned, and social cats a safe place to land.

This sanctuary will allow us to:

• Provide safe indoor/outdoor housing for rescued cats

• Quarantine and vet cats properly before adoption

• Continue TNR work in the community

• Expand capacity so we are no longer turning cats away due to space

Long term, I would love to be able to care for 100+ cats in a proper facility. We currently have the land (yay!!) Now, we need to fix up some fencing and a large metal building!

Every cat that comes into our rescue is fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and cared for like they are our own. I personally know each cat’s story, personality, and needs. Nothing here is “out of sight, out of mind.”
