My name is Bri, and I have been struggling with Wilson's Disease. Before I tell you more about why I have created this fund, I just wanted to emphasize how hard I've tried to avoid this. I am a hard worker and have always been, but my symptoms have gotten to a point now where that is next to impossible for me to continue the same way. I don't want to get into the nitty-gritty of it all, but I am here to ask for some financial assistance after multiple hospital visits expenses and bills have piled up and I'm struggling to afford everything.

My disease has progressed to where I am now awaiting a liver transplant, and though I am not quite bed-bound yet, I am on a steady decline. I am currently dealing with severe edema (swelling) of my legs and feet, making standing or sitting for long periods hard due to fluid buildup. So I'm constantly in flux between swelling in my feet, swelling in my legs, and swelling in my stomach, making it hard for me to get around. My Wilson's Disease is also causing abdominal dysregulation in the form of organ pain and stomach issues, and ascites, along with insomnia, emotional dysregulation, and arthritic pain in my joints.

I don't mean to sound dramatic, but I am nearly always in pain lately and it's been hard to make ends meet while dealing with these flare-ups. So, I am hoping to raise money for my medical treatments and my home, so I can get myself back to a baseline where I am able to return to work more regularly or receive disability benefits, while also not having to rely on borrowing money from friends and family to make up for the income I've lost.
