On October 18, 2025, our Bentley University women's volleyball team will hold its annual "Dig Lavender" match when we host American International College (AIC) at 3:00 PM. This is the 10 year anniversary of Sandy Hoffman's loss to Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma.
Lavender is the color ribbon for all rare cancers that don't have their own, including Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma that the late and legendary Bentley volleyball coach, Sandy Hoffman, fought courageously until her passing August 31, 2015. There are few doctors who research such uncommon and underfunded diseases, but there is a team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital working to develop effective new treatments, and all funds raised will directly support research for this rare disease.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to us.
