MESSAGE FROM BRIGHAM AND RILEY ~
“We are overwhelmed with all the love and support we have felt in this time. No doubt we have the best people surrounding us. Thank you for the prayers, donations, text messages and love we have received. God is so good and we are so grateful for our family to be alive.”
Even though Brigham and Riley have a long and hard road to recovery ahead of them we have all felt the love and support and seen so many tender mercies and silver linings in the past 24 hours….
***Riley’s first surgery was successful and she was moved out of the ICU.
***Brigham had a successful
surgery and later walked a few steps with a walker.
***Brigham and Riley were able to see each other for a short visit today.
***Kohen is running around being his happy energetic self.
ORIGINAL POST - Life can change in an instant. This Christmas season hold your loved ones a little closer. Today when I heard the news about my little brother and his family I was so scared that I would never see him again. Brigham, his wife Riley, and their 4 year old son were in a vehicle rollover accident this afternoon—— three ambulances and three helicopters. Kohen was flown to Mesa. We are so grateful kohen was cleared and released with bumps and bruises after a few hours. Brigham and Riley are currently in Scottsdale in the Trauma Unit. There are extensive injuries. Brigham has a broken femur, and injuries across his body. Riley has two breaks in her leg and a head injury. She is black and blue from head to toe. Riley is heading into surgery this evening and we were told she will need multiple surgeries. Brigham is scheduled for surgery at 8 AM tomorrow.
Anyone who knows Brigham and Riley know they are the hardest workers. Both of them work on their feet all day. They will be out of work for a minimum of several months. There will be copays and mortgage payments and bills.
I am setting up this GoFundMe in case you are able to donate and help ease some of their worry and burden of staying on top of their bills while they are recovering. We would be most grateful for any donation amount no matter how small. If you are not able to help financially at this time your prayers for a speedy recovery would be appreciated.
Brigham has been my best friend since the day he was born and I know he would do the same for me if this happened to my family.
We have no doubt that Brigham and Riley will be surrounded by the love and support of family, friends, and coworkers. Never did they imagine that they would be spending Christmas in a hospital.
